We had lots of storms in southwestern Ohio last night. They went on for hours. But in between bouts of thunder, lightning, and rain, I looked out my front door and saw a double rainbow. I didn't sry like the guy in the well-known YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu49zfbG8fY&feature=related), but I did grab my camera and take pictures.
I can almost understand why he cried. We could see the full arch of the rainbows, but couldn't capture the complete rainbow on film. It was spectacular.
I remember reading somewhere that people who have seen rainbows from planes have seen them as full circle and not a half. And seeing we are too close to the ground, we only see half of what is really there.
