About Me

About Juliann Wetz

I began writing at the age of seven. Even then, I knew that I wanted to be a writer. When I was 17, I won writing scholarships to various colleges and began pursuing a degree in English Literature.

In the meantime, I began to get my writing published in magazines such as Highlights for Children, Child Life, Capper’s, Boys’ Life, Dog Fancy, Good Old Days, 50+, Daughters Newsletter, Personal Journaling and other publications. In addition, I wrote restaurant, book, and stage reviews for the Cox newspapers from 2005-2008.

My work encompasses a variety of genres. Though I am most comfortable writing non-fiction, I have also written three children's chapter books and have been privileged to have my poetry, travel articles, essays, and fiction published.

I created this blog as an outlet to keep me writing. It's a chance to experiment with different styles and fragmented ideas. I'm having great fun writing it, and hope that you read something you like. Enjoy!
