discord,
vengeance,
tears, and venomous spit
eroded the crowded path to justice
with heavy feet and stomped-upon hearts
these burdened souls
carrying pain up and down
back and forth,
angry and defeated,
cycling maliciously
until splintered,
the steps to justice
cracked.
